The daily grind is brutal. Excruciatingly painful. It makes you hide in a corner. Does not let you get up from the bed. There is no motivation to do anything that can get you out of the situation. You are dragging yourself every day.
What is the purpose of doing something if you don't enjoy it? You ask. It's a fair question. A vital one that begins the reversal of your fortune.
Answering the question deserves counter-questions. How did you arrive at this place of unlikeable? What sequence of your action led you here?
You place the onus of the situation on circumstances and others. You like to think they have an equal stake in what you do. They don't. Theirs was an opinion, not an insistence that you do something. You adopted their version of capable you. They sure spotted your potential. But they did not know your drive and habits to convert the dream into results.
Your drive and habits did not coincide. Notice how elusive you are about giving the truth to yourself. Your internal story was to tell your something else. You did not pay heed to it. That is the stark reality that made your daily grind hard anyways. It felt like you are on the path of no return. You felt alone in a complex, thorny way.
But is there a way out? There is a way, but it's a challenging one. It involves regenerating belief.
Backing yourself. Setting your focus on smaller milestones. Winning what looks trivial matters. The truth, however unfavorable, is hard to digest, but it's not hard to express.
Confiding in someone you trust and expressing your angst is the first step. But this time, you must listen to suggestions and make all the calls yourself. Take hard decisions if needed. They are challenging because they turn the clock back and require restarting.
You have no one else to please. You should never. Remember, you are in a race for one.
Gather yourself!
