We focus on easy efforts that are just in-the-moment priorities. For example, we might spend quiet time organizing a work list that is easy to maintain using to-do tools. We direct office staff who should know what to accomplish in their day. Or we react to customer complaints because they came our way.
Albeit all of it is important. Are you the best person to do it? Are you on it because you just realized it must be done?
One of many triggers makes us cling to work that is meant for our team members.
We need to be kind-hearted and open to handing it to them. So we can when knowing the value of having colleagues around.
When we can get over the hump that "we are the best suited for the job," we open more possibilities.
Delegation is an outcome of such realization!
