There are many aspects about us that back our credibility. The way we show up and speak; the ethics we demonstrate, the rigor in our work; the disciplines, the way we make decisions, etc.
These are factors that make us interesting and noteworthy in an ecosystem that is driven by superficiality. At least, so we think in our heads!
This internal noise makes us feel about ourselves differentiated and valuable. Which is a good starting premise that needs validation.
Even though we have a lot of exciting work behind us, there is little guarantee that people will be interested in us.
Their interest in us depends on the noise and priorities in their head. That drives how we might be accepted!
