Every so often, we encounter a situation where the adequacy of our knowledge, the limitation of our understanding, and the fallacy of our biases get exposed. It is never pretty to be found in the corner, with nowhere to hide.
Our reaction is strange at best. In the face of adversity, we like to open our defenses. We try to prove ourselves right - with all our might.
The urge to prove right is a rush that derails our chances to succeed. It diminishes our opportunity to influence outcomes, command respect and gain adequate competence.
The urge is temporary. Wait and let it pass by!
